Amazing Back Ground Stamps

Fun Stampers Journey has put out some pretty amazing back ground stamps! You can see the whole collection here. I love back ground stamps for my art journal, cards and scrapbook pages.
What I have noticed at shows is people can be intimidated by a back ground stamp because they are so large! They aren't sure how to use them or how to get them inked up.
Anytime you have a large rubber surface whether it's a back ground stamp or a stamp with a lot of flat rubber surface, the easiest way to ensure you get it covered with ink is to lay the stamp face up on the table and apply your ink pad directly to the surface. Tap the ink pad on the stamp, you can even put your muscle into, you won't hurt anything, until you can see the stamp is inked up.  Try not to rub the stamp with the ink pad, if you do your image will have a blurred look and/or you will see swipe marks on your image.
After inking up the stamp you can just lay your card stock on top of the stamp! Easy peasy ... the next trick is to lay scrap paper over your card stock so you don't get the ink all over your fingers as you smooth the paper over the stamp and the image will be on your card stock beautifully!

I will post what I made with this lovely stamp... once I have traded my Journey Hug! The card stock is FSJ's and it's oatmeal stamped with Coffee Bean ink... our true fusion hybrid ink... 42 luscious colors!

Thanks for stopping by, now go create something fun!
=) Rose
